One-on-One with a MeetPips.com Representative
After reading A Promise Kept, the first thing that came to mind was ‘Isn’t that ironic?’ I mean, a representative interviewing other representatives about their work. Wait, what? You mean you didn’t know? Yep! Anne is part of MeetPips.com’s Support Team!
Even though she’s busy handling tickets from MeetPips.com, she managed to indulge me for a pow wow. And boy was it exhilarating- we had our meeting while a Nerf war was ongoing in the office! She had to dodge the bullets coming from all directions and take hits from my questions. Talk about a hard day at the office, eh?
I guess it’s time to get to know her better and know what it’s like to be a customer representative of MeetPips.com.
Can you describe to us your daily work routine?
I wake up, check my Twitter timeline. (Yes, I’m an addict.) Read my emails and subscriptions. Check the forums to see what the members have been up to. Eat. Work. Play Call of Duty or get into a Nerf war. Work. Come home and sleep. Oh, I tweet in between, for the record.
What do you love most about your job?
I get to interact with traders from everywhere! I love to travel so even if I’m working and sitting in front of my computer (with bathroom breaks in between, of course), when I read stories from people all over the world, it’s like I’m travelling again (minus the airfare). Ain’t that sweet?
What’s your most unforgettable experience as a customer representative for MeetPips.com?
I got asked out for coffee after conducting a survey. It was so sweet and funny at the same time. Bless his heart.
What’s the most common request/question you get?
It usually has to do with member not being able to post a trade or a feature not working. But that’s great, in my humble opinion. Why? It means our members are as excited as we are about the MeetPips.com’s trade features!
What’s the most important rule to follow in the customer support industry?
It’s not about you; it’s about them. You need to keep an open mind and smile your way out of anything that comes along. This is essential especially if you’re trying to help someone who’s unsatisfied, disappointed or concerned about their accounts. You have to remember that even if they’re blaming you for their inconvenience, they’re not really mad at you (unless for some reason it IS your fault and if that’s the case, you really have to admit your mistake, apologize and make it up to them somehow). Works like a charm for me.
Any parting words for our members?
Oooh, yes please. I’m always here, you guys! If you need any help or if you have questions about MeetPips.com; don’t hesitate to message me because I’ll be more than happy to be of assistance. You can also tweet us or send us a message on our fan page. Suggestions are welcome too! Don’t worry, I don’t bite, I will only hug the life out of you. Haha! I’m kidding. I look forward to hearing from all of you!
As much as I would’ve liked to ask her for more questions, we had to cut it short. We were in the middle of a Nerf war, and it was getting too dangerous to continue! Everybody’s reflexes were amazing!
If you have any questions for Anne, any question at all you can always send her a message via support@meetpips.com. I’m pretty sure she’ll get back to you!
